Jersey Archive
The purpose of the Jersey archive is to identify, select, collect, manage, preserve and provide access to the Island's records on behalf of the whole community, promoting Jersey's culture, heritage and sense of place both within its shores and beyond

In 1997 I was informed by archivist Miss C.D.E. Burke that The Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society had deposited their records with the Archives Service. The minute books date from 1833 and the first Jersey Herd Book of Registration of Pedigree Stock dates from 1867. Another important collection is "The Couteur Family Papers".

The collection contains about 40,000 professional and amateur images from the 1850s to the present day.
World Jersey Cattle Bureau's International Centre
In 1992 the Bureau opened an international centre in the Island to provide a focus for information relating to the Jersey breed. In 2001 the Bureau Centre moved from Howard Davis Farm to the new R.J.A. & H.S. headquarters
